As a "Total Solution" provider, the Collaborative focuses on:

School to Career Program
Job*Links, School to Career Program prepares youth for gainful employment at mentored job shadowing opportunities within UPMC.  Volunteer opportunities are provided at area non-profits, while supporting the student’s educational goals.   Each year twenty-four high school students participate in a summer orientation, learning career development topics including workplace etiquette, career exploration, appropriate work attire, resume writing, interviewing, budgeting, leadership, goal setting and work attitude and ethic.  Students take multiple career assessment surveys, including Myers Briggs Personality Type Assessment, to help them determine their career goals.  During the school year students participate in mentored work studies in their chosen field within UPMC.  Click here for the September 2007 School to Career Newsletter.

Job*Links is always looking for eager volunteers to help with special projects throughout the year and to provide mentoring and tutoring support for our youth.  Student applications are accepted each spring.  Call 412-621-3821 to get involved.
