School to Career Program
Job*Links, School to Career Program prepares youth for gainful employment at mentored job shadowing opportunities within UPMC. Volunteer opportunities are provided a
t area non-profits, while supporting the student’s educational goals. Each year twenty-four high school students participate in a summer orientation, learning career development topics including workplace etiquette, career exploration, appropriate work attire, resume writing, interviewing, budgeting, leadership, goal setting and work attitude and ethic. Students take multiple career assessment surveys, including Myers Briggs Personality Type Assessment, to help them determine their career goals.
